Musicians Want Pay for Play

Toby Keith has been named as one of the founding members of MusicFirst, a group of musicians who are lobbying for musicians to receive pay for songs played on AM and FM radio. Satellite, cable, and Internet radio stations already have to pay musicians for songs played. Currently, payments for AM and FM radio airplay are made to only songwriters and music publishers.
